Hello parents. The 2020 Nease marching band will take the field for band camp, in around 4 months and we are going to get started planning the props and equipment for next season. If you would like to join us, we are going to hold a virtual meeting of interested parents over Skype meetings on Sunday 3/29 from 2-4pm.

We wanted to continue to keep you up to date with news regarding the End of Year Band Banquet scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd. Currently, we are still planning on our End of the Year Band Banquet Luncheon to be held at the WGV Renaissance where we look forward to honoring our Seniors, celebrate our awards ceremony, have fun in our bidding wars with parking spaces, and new this year we get to raffle Marriott Points! In light of how very rapidly things can change in these uncertain times, we want you to know that the health of you and your family matters. We will be holding off on sending out the registration until classes resume. What that means for you:
• Band Banquet registration will be open for a short period of time only.
• Registration will be done by electronic means only through PayPal thus keeping contact at a minimum.
o Cost of tickets are $45 per person (Students will need to purchase tickets as well as family members). There will be a pass through charge of 2.9% and $0.30 (PayPal’s fee) at check-out.
o When you initiate the check-out process, you will have the option to pay with a debit or credit card even if you do not have a PayPal account.
o Cognito uses Microsoft Azure; a highly available, cloud-based, and secure hosting environment. Cognito's environment is PCI (DSS) level 1 compliant, and you can find the full list of security verifications on their website at www.cognitoforms.com. PayPal is also PCI level 1 compliant. View more about PayPal’s security on their website. Your credit card data is never transmitted, processed, or stored by Cognito. All sensitive transaction data is transmitted directly from your browser to PayPal for secure processing. All payment forms accessed through public links are over SSL, and PayPal's processor always runs over SSL as well.
• All Student Band Dues must be PAID IN FULL by April 20th, 2020 to attend. ***This includes both past and present dues for Concert, Symphonic, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensembles, Marching and Indoor (Guard and Percussion). Please reach out to Jillian Reep at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions or concerns regarding your students account.
• If your Student is a Senior and dues are NOT paid by April 20th, 2020, regardless of attendance, their account will end up on the Student's Debtor's list at Nease High School and could impact their ability to walk at Graduation or attend End of Year Events.
• In the event the banquet should be cancelled due to COVID-19, refunds for the Band Banquet or subsequent credits to your student’s account will be given after May 3rd, 2020 (Original Day of Banquet).

The General Board Meeting will be on Monday February 24th at 6:30. We are looking ahead to our next Marching Band season and would love to talk to anyone interested in participating as a Board Member or Manager. Nease Concert Ensemble
Congratulations to Mr. C., Anthony I., and the hard-working staff and students that placed 2nd in their recent FFCC Premiere Competition, with a score of 70.30 and a Superior rating! Great job everyone! February will hold your weekly rehearsals, a storefront fundraiser and a competition. Please see the calendar for dates and times. We will attach schedules and links once we have more information. We will communicate via the FB pages with any changes or reminders.
It is an exciting time for our Wind Ensemble. The Music for All Regional Concert Band Festival is on April 8th and it is a huge honor and privilege to be able to perform for such an esteemed group of professionals in music.

**** In our previous Blast the Boosters had approved an experience for our students involving Green light tours. As of this Blast, we are still in discussions with parents and Green light, making sure we keep our costs to a minimum while recognizing our Bands accomplishments. Emails will be sent to the Wind Ensemble once plans are nearing completion. Questions should be referred to your Board Members.
*** Just a reminder that rehearsals are scheduled before school, including all Wind as well as sectionals, and we have weekend camps to help our students practice and perfect their performance.

MORE UPDATES FROM THE BAND ROOM AND MR. C
1: Pre MPA Concert is February 18th at Bartram Trail High School. The symphonic band and concert band will be in performance. The concert band performs at 5:20pm and the symphonic band at 6:30pm. Students are asked to stay and watch and support all ensembles. This is a self-drive event, open to the public, and concert attire is required.
1A: Wind Ensemble Camp: Friday February 21st and 22nd
Nease Welcomes Dr. Bodnar from UNF as our guest conductor
Friday 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Wind Ensemble only... required to attend.
2: MPA Dates:

These events are open to the public, held at Flagler Palm Coast HS. Students will miss second half of day on both days. Will work on itinerary next week.
Concessions: Thank you to everyone who helped us clean up and beautify our concession area and storage. It looks amazing and we are ready for our next season. All students who assisted will be getting service hours. We have 2 storefront Fundraisers on our calendar as of this Blast: 1 in February and 1 in March. Please keep an eye on the calendar for updated times and information.
Mulch is Back!!
We are currently running our Spring Mulch Fundraiser. Please spread the word and share the link so we can get those sales and funds for our band. The sale ends on FEB 21 and our delivery date is MARCH 7th. Please plan on being available to help for delivery. Our students that help on delivery day will receive service hours.
Our Nease Band has been given the privilege of continuing our partnership with The Players Championship golf tournament, which will be held at TPC Sawgrass March 10-15, 2020. Our band students and parents can use this as an opportunity to earn funds towards their general band account while enjoying free admission to the golf course. We expect each shift to earn you $30-$35 credit towards your student account, which adds up! Example – a family of 4 that volunteers for 2 days has earned $240 towards marching and concert band fees for 2020. Checking in Once you get dropped off of the shuttle. We will have PAR CATERER signage on our tent. You will check in with our Par Caterer representative. They will give you a ticket for admission and directions to your location. Once you get to your concession location, you need to sign in at your location. This is how your group gets credit.
The following is the uniform:
Security Guidelines - The following is a list of prohibited items which spectators will not be allowed to bring to the tournament. Specifically, we ask that you review the updated bag policy, and only bring to the tournament grounds bags that meet the new criteria. All spectators to the Valspar Championship will pass through magnometers and/or will be wanded by tournament security and subject to search prior to entering the Tournament. Searches will be conducted either before boarding the shuttles at the College or at the entrance gates. Please review the lists below and leave any non-approved items in your car or at home.
